Chip McCraw
Treasurer
Chip McCraw joined the Spring Run Athletic Association board in January 2026, stepping into the Treasurer role on an interim basis. After watching his own children enjoy playing sports with SRAA, Chip wanted to give back to the community in a meaningful way. With his background in accounting and finance, the Treasurer role was a natural fit and a great opportunity to support the association.
What Chip enjoys most about Spring Run is the closeness of the community. Whether it’s seeing familiar faces at the field, the pool, or even the grocery store, he appreciates how families from different backgrounds come together to live, play, and support one another.
Chip is a CPA with more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. He brings that knowledge to the board with a focus on financial transparency, responsible stewardship of membership funds, and building a strong budgeting process for each sport. His goal is to help SRAA continue to be well-managed financially so the programs can grow and serve families for years to come.
Chip has been married to his wife, Stephanie, for almost 20 years. They have two daughters, ages 11 and 6, and two dogs. He is also a huge sports fan and enjoys watching the Orioles, Commanders, and UVA sports, as well as playing golf — even if he admits it is not always played well. Chip has also coached baseball at the high school, travel, and recreational levels.
As Treasurer, Chip hopes to help SRAA remain strong, organized, and transparent while continuing to support the kids, families, and volunteers who make Spring Run such a special community.
