Team Selection/Assessments

Teams are formed after registration and are based on current age as of December 31st of the current year. No assessments will be required in order to be placed on a team.

Coaches

All coaches are selected by the Softball Director. All coaches must complete a volunteer background check through Chesterfield County and display their coaches' card during ALL league games. Coaches are also required to complete concussion training provided by the CDC's Heads Up Concussion Training.

Free Agent Policy

Children who live outside of the Spring Run Elementary School boundary and do not have CBC member association within their elementary school boundary are considered to be open players and may consider registration with Spring Run. Children who live within the Spring Run Elementary School boundary will only be released to play for another association if we are unable to place them on a team. Players who request to play for another association will be released according to the request date and the merits of the individual case.

Insurance

Supplemental medical insurance is provided by the league and is funded by registration fees. This insurance covers out-of-pocket expenses not paid by the family’s primary medical policy. The Softball Administrator has forms and instructions for making a claim against this policy.
