Chris Ayers
Baseball Director
Chris Ayers serves as the Baseball Director for the Spring Run Athletic Association, bringing with him a lifelong connection to Spring Run and a deep passion for the game. Chris attended Spring Run when it first opened, where he played baseball, basketball, and football. Today, his own children have been involved in Spring Run sports for the past four years, making his service on the board especially meaningful.
Chris chose to serve on the board as a way to give back the knowledge, experience, and love of baseball that the sport has given him over the years. He played Division I baseball at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was a four-year starter, and has continued coaching ever since. During his senior year at VCU, Chris was ranked as the 10th hardest hitter to strike out in Division I baseball.
Professionally, Chris works as a project manager for a paving company, experience that supports the planning, organization, and leadership needed in his role as Baseball Director. As a board member, he hopes to bring structure and organization to the program while working toward improvements such as upgraded equipment, fields, and batting cages.
What Chris enjoys most about the Spring Run community is the passion families and athletes have for sports. Outside of SRAA, he enjoys baseball, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife and their four children.
